Capturing precious moments together with your family, I can come to your home to photograph you in comfort, or we can make the most of the beautiful countryside landscape we have peppered throughout Kent and East Sussex and meet in any of the scenes parks or woods we have nearby.
I believe family portraits should be natural, relaxed and completely unforced. I don’t believe in studio sessions for children, it’s too forced and doesn’t show their character in their best light. I’m looking for those unplanned, key interactions between you and your children, not asking them to stand there and say cheese, but catching that look they throw Dad as he’s just about to tickle them. Or the quiet moment of appreciation in a hug with Mum.

At Home
I always recommend home photoshoots for those with younger children and babies. They’ll be happier and comfortable in familiar surroundings and you’ll also have everything you need (clothing changes, nappies, food bribes etc) close to hand.
I have a portable studio with lighting and backdrops, so I can working pretty much any room, of course the bigger the better. I also have a few basket props and throws, but I encourage using any of your personal items as props. It will have more meaning to you all as a family in years to come to look back and see your little ones with a favourite or wearing dads iconic jumper.
Or on Location
This is a great choice to get a very relaxed and fun lifestyle session. I’ll work with you to choose a suitable location nearby that has plenty of room for the kids to make use of, any space for them to run around and play games with you in is perfect and will guarantee smiles. I’ll direct where needed, but mostly I find the kids lead the way with these outdoor sessions and I’ll hang back and focus on capturing you being together as a family.
I’m based in Tunbridge Wells, but I’m happy to travel across most of Kent and East Sussex. Dunorlan Park is a popular spot for my family sessions as it’s absolutely huge and has plenty of quiet spots. Knole Park in Sevenoaks is also a great spot for a really natural, outdoorsy look.
